Local Business Logo Design in Temecula Valley, CA

This logo design client was a local business owner just starting a brand new business in Wildomar, that would be serving the Temecula Valley area.He had a pretty good idea of what he wanted his logo to look like, and a vision of what he wanted. All he needed was the right designer to put it all together for him, so his vision could be shared.

When we first spoke, he told me he had couple of images he’d found online, in a royalty free image gallery. He wanted them combined to give a clear visual message in the logo mark, of what his company does.

Having a pretty good visual to start with, and an idea of the aesthetic this business owner was hoping to achieve in his business logo design, gave me a good foundation, upon which to build a logo.

I had a good idea of how we would communicate to the world, exactly what this company does.

Logo Design Image Elements

I had 2 images the business owner wanted me to use.

He wanted the images combined, to make a logo mark that better told the world what his company does.

Here at Shared Graphics, I believe a great business logo design must tell the world exactly what you do, without saying a word.

The business owner couldn’t find an image of a dryer vent cleaning company, but he did find an image for washing machine repair and maintenance, and another for air conditioning vent cleaning.

Here are the two images I started with:

These were royalty free images my client found on https://depositphotos.com/, which is a great resource for royalty free images.

With a little design work, I combined parts of the two images, and tweaked the colors a little…

Local Service Area in the Business Name

The business owner had also chosen to put the local area he serves, built into the business name.

This is often a smart marketing decision for a local business.

It makes it very easy to communicate the area he serves in every communication from the logo to the web design, to everything else. No need for clarification in a visual, or additional text.

For his logo design, this business owner already had a couple fonts he felt would work well. This made it easier to know what he wanted his local business logo to look and feel like.

Friendly Fonts for Local Service Business Logo Design

He felt that Luckiest Guy, and Chicle would be a good place to start for his logo text.

From that, I could see he wanted a friendly, family business vibe, which works PERFECTLY for his target market.

I’ve learned during my years of sales and marketing experience, most of the time it’s the Mom of the family searching for this type of business. So something inviting, friendly, and family oriented, with a local spin, always works really well.

I drew up a few options, played around with the capital letter of the logo text, it seemed to be working okay.

During the design process, I came across a font I thought worked even better, for this design. More about that, later.

Logo Design Visual Elements

This business owner had sent me a rough sketch of the side of a truck, and what he was thinking.

I saw he had a sun drawn on there, and here in Southern California, that’s always a great visual element to add.

So, I played with that a little.

I also added a globe at one point. Not my best idea!

I usually provide 3 logo concepts to choose from, but with this one I was having fun. In my heart and mind, there was one clear winner, but ultimately, it’s the client’s choice.

Here’s the options I had come up with… …which one’s YOUR favorite?

It doesn’t always go this way, but business owner went with my favorite design, number 3.

He then asked something that REALLY surprised me…

One More Tweak to the Logo Design

…he asked me if I could add mountains like the ones that surround Temecula Valley.

I was excited to hear that, because I almost had added mountains to the logo design, but wasn’t sure.

He also felt that adding a couple hot air balloons would give it that really local feel. I agreed, as on my morning walks in Murrieta, I do often see the hot air balloons over the San Jacinto Mountains, Palomar Mountain, and also The Ortegas that surround us.

The Final Logo Design

I added the mountains and hot air balloons I’d seen so often on my walks as a faded gray accent element.

The business owner loved the final logo design, and approved it immediately.

Here’s what the final logo design looks like:

If you haven’t already seen it, you should be seeing this logo on this local businesses vehicles around here in the neighborhoods of Murrieta, Temecula, Wildomar, Menifee, and the rest of Temecula Valley.
